General information
Event information
When almost everything fails: chronicle and analysis of an avalanche accident at the peak of l'Estanyó. In this talk we will make a brief summary of the events that occurred, and we will analyze in detail what the previous meteorological and snow conditions were, what the Avalanche Danger Bulletin (BPA) indicated and what terrain the accident occurred in order to understand why the avalanche was triggered. In a second part of the talk, two people involved in the accident will tell us about their experience and how they managed the situation, both before the accident and once the avalanche had been triggered. We will end by reflecting on what went right that day, and what went wrong.
At the end, there will be a raffle for material and courses among all attendees.
Time: At 7 p.m.
